Yes, I am blogging again. This time I think I have been away for 2 years and social media ie: Facebook, Twitter and Flickr have gotten me through. Lately I’ve been feeling like I have a lot more to say/share than is appropriate for those outlets so I decided to start-up again. I hope you will find it worth your while to stop back to see what I am up to. Also please comment, I always love to hear what others are thinking.
So here is what I have to say….
I’ve started working on the house again, starting with the main living area. Bob with his long lengths of sick time and being laid off just demolished the furniture, no matter how much I tried it wasn’t getting clean any longer.
I knew I wanted the room to be bright, low fuss, better arranged, furniture needed to be quality made with clean lines and no dogs allowed. I shopped everywhere and kept coming back to Lazy-boy for the best price vs quality. I wasn’t over the top about their style but I kept trying to work fabrics and design lines to try to get as close as I could to my goal but it still was coming up too expensive. Fortunately the Lancaster Lazy-boy store had a clearance section and I thought I could perused that selection looking for something I could recover if the lines were right but right away I found a sofa that was very close to what I was looking for and it was 1/2 the price of what I was gonna have to spend. Premium cushions and fabric! It had no price tag on it, one of the sales clerks was going to buy it but I got it because I had cash and pushed, it was sitting there waiting for me I knew it. Bob found a chair I was remotely okay with so we ended up getting the two upholstered pieces at Lazy-boy.
Now that I knew what we had to work with I tried my hand at a design board. I love this process!
