Not Makedup

When I cleaned out the linen closet I also cleaned out all my makeup.  I washed my makeup bag and got rid of everything except my perfect tweezers.  I decided I had no idea why I had foundation and eye shadow and different colors of eyeliner, I never used them, never.  So I went to Target and bought a new eyelash curler, mineral blush, Burt’s Bee’s Lip Shimmer and these. The most wonderful makeup products I have ever bought in my whole life!! Do you see they say “smudge proof”, “smudge resistant” and let me tell you they aren’t lying, both these products do not smudge! Na-DA! By the end of my 8 hour workday I’d look like a raccoon with any product I found that said no smudge.  And another plus if you read the mascara package it says “remove with just water”  and it is so true! No smudge and water removal how can they get anymore perfect.  I bought back ups of these products! Carrie should I send you some?

Cleaning Out

My hall linen closet, which is right outside the bath, was starting to get on my last nerve.  I am not a clutter keeper so there really wasn’t much there to begin with but I attacked the closet with the attitude if it hasn’t been used in a year it’s out of here.

I also had a silly little wish is find affordable bamboo boxes to store all my toiletries in.  I thought the wood tones would be helpful in making it look nice.  I couldn’t find anything the day I was out so I washed my cheap, old (bought them at Pharmor in the early 80’s) plastic bins and lined them with Contact Brand Cork and they look so much better.

I have 5 rex begonias and this is the first time I have a flower and in winter!

Linen

I knew late November that the PA Fabric Outlet was going to be sending out 50% off cards early January. I also knew they had a huge assortment of great 100% linen. I just needed to stay away until that card came and hoped others did the same.

Thursday that card was in the mail and I was there. 20 yards came home with me at $5.50 a yard. I am very happy.

Now to find the perfect patterns for Carrie and I. I will inhale all my japanese pattern books and stopped at Joann yesterday. Looking for loose, feminine, simple and something we can both wear to work .

Of course we will both need a Pamela Tang inspired pinafore, dress or top…….

Loss

Not sure why, I am sure she has her reason’s, but Etsy will be losing a great jewelry designer and I am not happy at all about it. I am not good at handling change, loss or moving on. Good Luck to you Miss Amy of Morphologie fame.
